Halloween 2012

Michael and I decided to go as Flo and Mayhem from Progressive and Allstate for Halloween this year.  We wanted to dress Daisy as the Aflac duck but sadly she wasn't invited to any of the events we attended.

30 Sucks!

I turned thirty last week, which I was not feeling super excited about.  Luckily Mikey and my good friend Alisa made it into a pretty fun weekend for me.  On Saturday Alisa took me to a really yummy Italian restaurant for lunch. She went all out to make it fun complete with some embarrassing accessories to make sure everyone knew it was my birthday. Also she made me this awesome "Thirty sucks!" gift. She is the best.

Then on Monday my sisters, mom, nieces took me to get french toast from Kneaders.  It was a first time experience for me, and a life changing one.  That stuff is good!

When I got home Monday evening Mikey had transformed our house into a princess heaven so I could be a birthday princess.  I wish I'd taken some more pictures of the other decorations he had Disney princess everything!  It was really cute!  Then there was my favorite decoration: an ice cream cake complete with Mickey and Minnie.   He definitely helped me not feel quite so old! I love that man!

Our First Home (of our own)!

I've been neglecting this blog lately but some news is just too good not to write about.

Michael and I bought our first home recently (we moved in the beginning of Aug), and it is absolute heaven!  Since high school I have moved 12 times so buying a home and being able to stay in one spot for a while is a huge deal for me.

We love our neighborhood and Daisy loves having so much space to herself; she loves playing chase around the house.  We also love not hearing loud neighbors or smelling cigarette smoke every time we open our door. Michael is thrilled to have a much shorter commute and I love that he doesn't have to get up quite as early.

The start of catching up

Last fall the Moss family headed to the happiest place on earth and I am just now getting around to posting it.
I couldn't have been more happy because we got to combine some of my favorite things Disneyland and Halloween.  It was also a blast because we got to play with the whole family.  I wasn't feeling the best for this trip because I'd just gotten my gall bladder out, (I had a golf ball sized stone my surgeon said was blue ribbon worthy)  but that didn't stop us from having a great time and I was able to ride everything so that was good.    Also they do the park up really well for Halloween and have all the Disney villains around for the kids to meet.  Cruella De Vill was so funny she Confused Addie a little bit though because she was saying mean things and Addie didn't know what to think of it after meeting a bunch of super friendly Princesses.

There they are, Addie surprised us all when she decided her favorite ride at Disneyland was the Matterhorn.  She is a bit of a daredevil.  She got upset that she was to short to go on the Tower of Terror and California Screaming.

 Yes, I'm a dork.
Anyway Disneyland was so much fun and we already are wanting to go back.  I guess you just don't grow out of some things.

And a little Halloween photo just because.

4th of July!

Daisy got her hair cut right before the fourth and they put this adorable little scarf on her. She made me laugh because when I went to take a picture of her she started posing for the camera. I think she thinks she is a model. She probably posed in ten different ways all with her eyes right on the camera. I don't know why, but she loves having her picture taken.
Saturday night Addie rode up to the cabin with us. It melted our hearts when we looked in the back seat and saw her holding Daisy's paw. I wish we could have gotten a better shot of Addie, but as soon as they saw the camera both Addie and Daisy started posing for the camera.

We went up and watched the fireworks with the extended Moss family. It was lots of fun and the fireworks were of wonderful. I love the Fourth of July. It's so fun to have a gorgeous summer day to spend with family and remember how blessed we are to live in this country.

Graduation

We were so happy to have Michael's parents and my Mom come down for his graduation.
Michael outside the Tanner Business building where he pretty much lived for the last few years.

Mikey graduated last weekend with his Master's degree! We are both so excited and I am so proud of him!

Queen of the Hill

Daisy has a nightly routine where she will lay on the bed by the foot while we say our prayers. She usually tries to get us to play with her a bit before and after we pray but the other night instead of playing after prayer she just crawled across Michael's shoulders and laid on his back. She moved a little before I could grab the camera but she didn't easily give up her spot on Michael's back. Also she's just yawning in the second picture, but it makes me laugh because it looks like she is roaring.
