More fun with Daisy

Poor Daisy has to endure all kids of dress up, although she does love the sweater and gets excited to have it on she is not a fan of the boots.

We decorated our tree on Friday and Daisy found a new favorite hide-out.

Halloween

I know I should have put this up almost a month ago, but better late than never right? Anyways Mikey and I were garden gnomes and Daisy was our little garden mushroom.

Daisy Dress-up

Michael and Daisy were having a bit too much fun after church.

Last blast of Summer

Michael and I wanted to do something really fun before he started the new school year (his last one!), so we decided to take a day to just have some fun. We went to Cowabunga Bay waterpark, and had a great time. The slides were so fun and since all the kids were already back in school it was almost like we had the park to ourselves. We had a great time and were completely worn out afterwards, but not too worn out for some delicious food at Carino's. It was the perfect end to a great summer.

DMB

We got free tickets to a Dave Matthews Band concert because he had to cancel his recent concert trips to Utah. It was awesome for me because I had tickets to their concert in 2001 but ended up selling them to save more money for college and I've always been sad to have missed seeing them. Anyway we had a blast and they sounded great!

Easter

The highlight of this Easter was definitely watching Daisy break open all her eggs to get to her doggie treats. We also had fun dyeing eggs and eating our own treats.

A Word From Michael

Hello, everybody! So Christine has been asking me to write on this blog for a while...and now that I'm done with class I have finally found some time to do it. I still have finals to deal with, though.

There are three (3) items that I'd like to share with the blog readers out there.

First, is this quote by Elder Neal Maxwell:

"God does not begin by asking us about our ability, but only about our availability, and if we then prove our dependability, he will increase our capability!" - Neal A. Maxwell

It's one of my favorites that I came across again today and I think it's a very powerful doctrine.

Second, is some info that Christine requested that I share. I've been running some experiments on Dog (aka Daisy) lately to find out what her favorite food is. I've done this by offering her two foods at once, and observing her choice. With Easter just a couple weeks ago, I've been using plastics eggs to hide the food so she goes by smell, rather by sight. It seems I can't find a food that she likes more than pepperoni. That's funny, because that's one of my favorite foods, too. We frequently bond while sharing some pepperoni slices together. In a close second is her next favorite food (as presently known): MilkBones. That is not one of my favorite foods. You can keep all those to yourself, Dog.

Third, I'd just like everyone that reads this to know that I have an absolutely awesome wife. Christine is a wonderful person to be married to. She puts up with me and my life (school, work, teasing Dog, etc.) and I love her for that. :) She is also a very awesome cook even though she doubts that she is. I love you , Christine!

Festival of Colors

On Saturday we went to the Holi Festival of Colors which is an Indian celebration of the beginning spring and the end of winter. Basically how it works is everyone has bags of colored powder and after watching some traditional dances and listening to some music they light an effigy of the witch "Holi" and then everyone throws their colors into the air. We had a blast and as you can see we got covered in color.

Fountains at the Bellagio

The fountain show was actually running during both of these photos, but the fountains behind Christine all went down right as Mikey took the picture.

Dilbert and Alice

Okay, I know I am a bit behind but I just came across this picture from our Halloween costumes and couldn't resist sharing it. We were Alice and Dilbert. We thought it was pretty funny, but not too many people knew who they were.

Daisy

This is my adorable dog daisy, or as Michael calls her Dog. She answers to quite a few names now including Money in the Bank, Doggins, Puppy Pants, and Dogface all thanks to my sweet relatives who each had to come up with their own name for her.
